On March 7, 2013, an immigration judge ordered termination of removal proceeding to a Lin & Valdez client.
Our client in this case was previously represented by another law firm. However, after the removal proceeding started, he sought the representation of Attorney Stewart Lin. Upon evaluating his case, we found that his previous attorney made a mistake when dealing with the USCIS. The USCIS then made a mistake, and the ICE also made mistake in sending him to removal proceeding.
Prior to the scheduled hearing, we sorted the sources of the mistakes. Attorney Stewart Lin then contacted the government counselís office, and in the hearing of March 7, 2013, the government acknowledged their error. The presiding judge then ordered the closing of this matter.
