Success Story: Audited PERM Labor Certification Approved for Newspaper Editor

On March 22, 2007, we learned that our third audited PERM labor certification case, an application for the position of News Paper Editor for an ethnic newspaper, is certified.  Continuing our perfect record in addressing auditing, this audited petition is approved too.  As a matter of fact, it was certified within a week after our response to audit notice was submitted to the DOL.

In the audit notice, the DOL principally focuses on our client’s requirement of the language of a foreign country.  Even though the language requirement looks reasonable for the position offered, we knew that this case would be audited even before it was filed as per the various Q & As promulgated by DOL and the PERM regulations, language requirement automatically raises red flag for auditing.  In our response, we provided tremendous amount of documents and information to convince the DOL about the reasonableness of the need.   It took us a lot of time to compile all the information provided, but the fruit of result is very sweet.
