Cristina Perez

A graduate of the School of Law of the University of Puerto Rico, Ms. Cristina Perez has been a licensed attorney in Puerto Rico since January 2002. Immediately upon graduation, Ms. Perez began practicing in the areas of Admiralty Law and Civil Litigation, participating as second-chair attorney in several civil trials. Later, Ms. Perez went on to work in the areas of Real Estate and Mortgage Law, handling closings for prestigious financial institutions and real estate developers in Puerto Rico. Ms. Perez also has vast experience in the practice of Family and Probate Law.

Between 2009 and 2011, Ms. Perez became part of the Mental Health Commission of the Puerto Rico State Bar, which led her to participate as guest speaker in various conferences regarding the rights of mental health patients in Puerto Rico and to represent mental health patients and their families in Court proceedings.

On February 2012, Ms. Perez moved to Houston, Texas, in search of further professional growth. Her practice in Houston was first focused in Real Estate Law and Civil Litigation. However, in 2014, she started practicing as an Immigration Attorney for Boat People SOS, a non-profit organization helping primarily Vietnamese and Hispanic clients in immigration matters. In 2015, Ms. Perez joined Lin & Valdez LLP, where she works in various kinds of immigration, including investor visas, family and employment based applications, and asylum proceedings in Immigration Court.

Ms. Perez is a native Spanish speaker, which allows her to readily communicate with Hispanic clients. As a member of Lin & Valdez LLP, Ms. Perez is fully committed to helping clients reach their goals, and is very confident that her skills, enthusiasm, and attention to details further strengthen the Firm's high-quality services.
