On Aug. 14, 2017, the immigration judge in Houston, Texas granted adjustment of status to a Lin & Valdez client. With the approval, our client’s case in the immigration court formally ends and will soon receive green card.
Our client in this case was in the removal proceeding for many years and has previously been ordered removed already. The client was previously represented by another attorney and came to us a few years ago. We firstly helped the client reopen his case with BIA, and then moved his case back to the immigration court. With the waiver of appeal of both sides, the grant of adjustment of status is final and our client is now finally out of the removal proceeding.
