On Aug. 8, 2019, a Judge of US Immigration Court granted asylum to one of our clients represented by Attorney Stewart Lin. The case is unique as our client in this matter has been in ICE detention for 10 months. With the approval, our client was released immediately and will be able to apply for permanent residency after one year from the ruling date.
Our client in this case was persecuted in his country and fled to the US to seek protection. However, he was detained by ICE for without legal document to enter the US. With the representation of Mr. Stewart Lin, our client presented his case to the court and eventually received the positive ruling. Needless to say, our client is ecstatic about the positive outcome of the case.
