On June 6, 2017, the Asylum Office in Houston notified our office of its grant of asylum to a Lin & Valdez client represented by Attorney Stewart Lin. With the approval, our client is allowed to apply for the qualified family members in home country for refugee visa. Needless to say, our client is ecstatic about the outcome of our representation in this case.
The interview to this asylum application actually took place in Nov. of 2016. The Asylum Office firstly notified our client not to go back in the specified date to pick up the result as it was not ready then, and then have our client and us wait until now. Nevertheless, it turned out that it is a worthy wait! Our client in this case actually had her asylum application initially filed in California and then through our help moved the case to Houston, Texas. Attorney Stewart Lin accompanied our client to the interview and made a convincing closing statement for the client.
