On Feb. 6, 2023, an US immigration judge granted cancellation of removal to a Lin & Valdez client. This approval represents the continuation of our success in the immigration court.
The client in this case used to have permanent residence. However, because of his criminal record he was sent to the removal proceeding. His criminal record includes control substance possession, multiple DWIs and disregard to family member’s welfare. In spite of those records we were able to argue to the court that the client has fully recuperated and there is no concern to future safety of the community. Our client is ecstatic with the positive outcome.
