Success Story: Asylum Granted by Immigration Court to Our Client

On July 11, 2022, an US Immigration Court judge granted asylum to a Lin & Valdez client. This approval represents the continuation of our success in the immigration court.

Our client in this case was a child soldier from an African country. The trial for this matter was held on April 18, 2022. After the trial, the court has concern about the “Persecutor Bar” as our client was ordered to participate in training in raiding villages. Upon our filing of brief, the court rendered the decision on July 11, 2022 sided with us that the Persecutor Bar does not apply to our client. As the credibility of our client is not an issue, the case is as such granted.
